Remove Suspended Solids From Liquid with The Kine-Spin Clarifuge |
The Clarifuge is essentially a centrifugal
"filter" which removes solid contaminants
down to 5 micron size from a wide variety
of fluids. Unlike other types of filtration, the
clarifuge uses no physical filtration
mediums such as bags or cartridges, so
there are no costly filters to dispose of or
repurchase.

How a centrifuge Cleans Fluid |
A
centrifuge is a mechanical device used to separate
substances of different
densities. It quickly separates
substances that would normally slowly separate
under
the influence of gravity.
Refer
to the diagram to the
right. Dirty
fluid is fed into a rotating bowl. As
the
fluid makes its way up and out of the bowl, centrifugal
force throws the
solid contaminates (that are denser
than the fluid) to the outer perimeter of
the bowel
where, over time, they compact and build a sludge
wall (A).
The
liquid overflows the bowl and gravity
drains from the centrifuge (B). Accumulated solids
are easily cleaned from
the bowl by simply removing
the bowl and scooping out the sludge.
